The Adobe Mountain Wildlife Center was
established to care for sick and/or injured Arizona wildlife.
Volunteers work with a variety of amazing creatures ...eagles, hawks,
snakes, bats, tortoises, bobcats, rabbits, and other native Arizona
wildlife.
With a small budget
from the Heritage Fund, over 150 animals are cared for by one paid
employee. The budget never goes far enough, and as the animals
require substantial care, volunteers are heavily relied upon.

According to the Institute of Scrap Recycling
Industries (ISRI), recycling scrap materials "reduces greenhouse gas
emissions by requiring significantly less energy to manufacture
products from recyclables than virgin ore and by avoiding land
filling." By recycling scrap materials, 145 million tons of
materials, some hazardous, stay out of our landfills. |
